Business Development Executive

The Business Development team is a centralised function advising and supporting the Firm in its marketing, sales support and business development activities. The key drivers for the team are to ensure we support the development and implementation of the firm's strategy and in particular help:
• Drive profitable revenue growth (through the Client Universe and new clients)
• Develop and deliver a clear brand proposition through our sector, City and international focus
YOUR ROLE
The Business Development Executive (BDE) role will work with the Disputes Business Development Manager (BDM) to deliver the group strategy through related BD and Marketing activity. You'll be joining at a very exciting time for the Disputes Group which has grown by 184% in the last 5 years and rated the fastest growth of any litigation team by The Lawyer.
You will work on high profile BD projects and provide BD support to partners and fee earners across 4 practice groups; Commercial Disputes, Finance Disputes, Global Investigations and Employment. You will be involved in the full spectrum of BD tasks that you would expect from an international law firm. You will be very hands on with a clear objective of getting tasks completed. WHAT YOU WILL DO
• Provide support to Disputes BDM with priority BD targeting activities, tracking opportunities from large programmes and campaigns and supporting partners and key stakeholders in their BD activities. You will work alongside other team members across the BD Directorate as required to ensure delivery.
• Build strong relationships with partners and key stakeholders within the Group, becoming a trusted BD advisor to them.
• You will have an enthusiastic and can-do attitude with a willingness to learn. This role will require you to develop knowledge and keep up to date with developments across key service lines and growth areas.
• You will be highly organised and will assist with monitoring and measuring BD activity accurately and regularly. You will help the Disputes BDM with actions that come out of meetings and discussions to ensure delivery on projects and initiatives.
• Provide support, assistance and on occasions lead the production and delivery of bids and tenders for new business opportunities, from completing PQQ type response and helping with response drafts, to assisting with appropriate bid opportunities and providing adequate support to the Bids team on major panel tenders. You will ensure the bids tracker remains up to date so we can continue to report on all Disputes opportunities accurately.
• You will lead in the creation of credentials, case studies and testimonials and work with the design team to update and prepare capability statements, case studies and other client presentations and material in line with the firm's visual identity and brand.
• Be an ambassador for our technology platforms, specifically, our CRM platform and central creds repository to ensure their use is optimised across Disputes to support BD activities and opportunities, alongside the firm's use of InterAction.
• Take ownership and maintenance of the various Disputes pages on our website – ensuring content is kept up to date and working with the Digital team to ensure all forms of social media are being considered in line with brand guidelines.
• You will also take ownership and maintenance of Group content for the internal BD Hub – ensuring content is kept up to date and is categorised correctly to ensure it is searchable.
• Support the BDM and work with the Internal Communications team to draft internal comms for the Group including key updates on campaigns / initiatives, upcoming events and key client work.
• Support BD activity that runs alongside events and conferences
• Help with the ongoing and inevitable BAU tasks that we receive within the Group
