Internal Communications Coordinator -12 Month FTC

Overview

We are seeking a highly organised and enthusiastic Internal Communications Coordinator to join our Internal Communications team. This entry level role is ideally suited to a recent graduate with a passion for storytelling who is looking to build a career in Communications. We can offer an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience within a dynamic and experienced team

The successful candidate will play a key role in sourcing, creating, adapting, and publishing engaging content across a variety of internal communications channels, managing a schedule of regular content, and providing administrative support to the Communications Team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Content Creation and Management:
    • Source, write, and adapt content to suit a range of internal audiences and channels.
    • Publish content across our internal communications platforms, ensuring consistency in tone and messaging.
    • Identify and share compelling stories that align with the Firm's AG2030 strategy.
  • Administrative Support:
    • Maintain a schedule of content, ensuring a regular flow of relevant news stories.
    • Provide administrative support to the Internal Communications team, ensuring smooth delivery of projects and initiatives.
  • Channel Management:
    • Assist in managing internal communication channels, including intranet, e-newsletters, screensavers, to ensure that content is kept up to date.
    • Help to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of communication activities, providing feedback and suggestions for improvement.

Skills and Attributes

  • Excellent Communication Skills:
    • Outstanding written, verbal and listening skills, including good spelling and grammar.
    • Ability to tailor messages to different audiences and channels.
  • Organisational Skills:
    • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities according to their strategic importance.
    • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Creative and Curious:
    • A natural curiosity and a 'nose for news,' with a passion for storytelling.
    • Strong aptitude and willingness to learn.
  • Team Player:
    • Collaborative approach to working with colleagues across the organisation.
    • Able to build strong relationships with a range of internal stakeholders.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Demonstrable writing experience, such as through academic work or personal projects.
  • A keen interest in internal communications and employee engagement.

Desirable Skills (but not essential) 

  • Experience with SharePoint intranet and video editing would be an advantage.
  • Knowledge of internal communications best practices.

The Communications Team

The Internal Communications team is a key part of part of our global Communications team whose responsibility it is to promote and protect the firm's brand and reputation through all aspects of internal and external communications, including employee engagement and business change programmes.

The Communications team develops and executes a range of internal communications and media relations campaigns aligned with business priorities to help enhance our profile and market share. The team provides communications support to internal stakeholders and is ultimately responsible for protecting and developing the firm's corporate reputation.

Communications is a key pillar of the global Business Development function - a centralised department advising and supporting the firm on its marketing, communications, sales support and business development activities. The key drivers for the team are to ensure we support the development and implementation of the firm's strategy and in particular help:

  • Drive profitable revenue growth
  • Develop and deliver a clear brand proposition
