Construction Managing Associate, 5+pqe

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

Due to continued growth and continued success, our non-contentious team is seeking for an additional Managing Associate. An ideal step-up role where you'll have autonomy, significant client engagement and the support our partners with line managing the team. THE TEAM

With more than 100 specialist lawyers, including 24 Partners, our Construction and Engineering team  offers a full service of legal solutions to all aspects of the construction industry.  Ranked in both Legal 500 and Chambers, you'll join a true market leading team.

The work of the group is hugely varied and includes buildings, residential and living accommodation, civil and process plant engineering, energy, infrastructure, transport, and utilities - across both private and public sectors.  The team also provide project support and advice to our wider Real Estate, Banking and Projects teams.

 

WHAT TO EXPECT IN THIS ROLE

  • You will have exposure to an array of high-quality clients, construction work from advising government bodies, sponsors, funders, developers, employers, operators, constructors, sub-contractors and professional teams in relation to project procurement techniques (including facilities management) and dispute avoidance and resolution mechanisms.
  • As the first line support for our partners, you'll be taking your experience and expertise to the next level where you'll be supporting our clients on a range of complex and market leading matters including construction and development contracts, consultant appointments, warranties, in a range of sectors including living, office, retail, life sciences, energy industrials and transport.
  • This is a high performing team with a strong reputation for developing people where you'll have the opportunity and encouragement to take a lead on matters including developing your own relationships.
  • As the team continues to grow, there is opportunity to support with line management of other colleagues.
